Whooz? removable vinyl labels were created as a fun and whimsical solution to the pervasive problem of whose iphone charger is whose. Though not quite world peace, Whooz? takes on the challenge of turning a potential argument into a source of fun. Whooz? launched as a Kickstarter in 2012 and raised $20,200. Over 30,000 units were sold in its first year making it one of The Grommet's top ten highest selling products of 2013.
I concepted and created OOWA's brand and launch campaign (Kickstarter) with the help of a team of artists which I assembled. OOWA raised a successful 62K.
The Magtable is a combination magazine rack and coffee table. Inspired by the spines on some of my fancier magazines I decided to create a piece that would show them off.
Sometimes I wish products could just float in their place without the use of hardware, shelving, etc. Illuzine indulges this fantasy. When the rack is loaded the magazines appear to float on the wall. Like a standing rack, it displays the magazines nicely so you can see them all, but without the accompanying bulk, size, and weight.
Who needs a book shelf if you've got books! Flybrary makes use of the structural qualities of books to create a shelf of its own. Hardware was designed to be minimal and hidden when in use. When the shelf is full, books appear to magically float on the wall. We could always use a little more magic.
Meet "Joey", a dual function kitchen soap pump. Ease of manufacturing + small footprint + simple aesthetic appeal = a hit. The Joey pump has been a best selling pump in the kitchen department of Bed, Bath, and Beyond for over 10 years. The design has been knocked off several times by competition, but make no mistake, this is the original!
I still dream that Superman will one day take me to his polar, crystal lair. In the meantime I was inspired to design Facade, a bath line produced for Umbra's studio collection U+.
What if Santa were a contemporary urbanite? What would he and his crew look like? Ta-dah! Christmas in the city.
Does your imagination still take you where it used to? Passages is a brand of musical wall art created for Enesco. Turn the doorknob, lie back, and wait for the world beyond your wall to open up. These musical doorknobs are intended to be as appropriate next to a child's bed as they are on the side table of your mom's favorite chair.
A dozen roses. A way to tell time. A way to forget time. A thing to come back to. Who doesn't love a good retro art project like paint by numbers? But really, has anyone ever finished one. The paint by number floral graphic was designed to be aesthetically pleasing no matter how much or little time you put into it.
Part photo album, part frame, this house of cards-esque design was intended to bring a little play into the act of preserving and displaying memories.
This minimal money bank was inspired by Obama in 2008. Shortly after running on his "Change" platform and taking office, the country slipped into a recession. It seemed like a good time to design a "piggy bank". Today it lives on as a cheeky design.
